This gorgeous necklace has been made using large vintage Garnet beads, interspersed with modern smaller beads. Strung on tiger tail, it will be long lasting.
A little about Garnet. The name Garnet comes from the Latin word ‘granatum’, which means pomegranate; a reference to it's deep red colour that resembles the deep red seeds of the fruit. The Garnet crystal was cherished by medieval jewellers who wove the stone into everything from rings to buckles. Even then, it was thought of as being protective against negative energy. The Garnet stone is linked with the heart chakra and one of my personal favourites!
